Dear Julia,
It has been so long since I've talked to you! I'm not sure if you will even remember me. Do you remember those days when it was just the two of us, you and I? You wore a cloak, almost always (there has always been something so evocative about that word for me, cloak). I've been wracking my brain for the last couple of days to remember your last name. Forgive me. I know it will come to me in a day or two.
I thought maybe writing to you would be a good way to blog. I can share my days, my silly stories, my joys and ideas. If you will let me. Would that be permissible? I hope so.
